The IBS Business Seminar Series

The IBS Business Seminar series is a periodic business exposé for aspiring or budding entrepreneurs. The focus, aside from providing a forum for networking and collaboration, is on activating and sustaining conversations that will help promote business excellence, especially around locations with high potential for rapid development like Ile-Ife. The Seminars holds between from 9 A.M to 1 PM  every Saturday at the IBS’s premisis at 10, Abayomi Omisore Avenue, Off Ede Road, Parakin Qtrs, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.

The seminars are organized to dovetail into the selection of startups that will benefit for the IBS Startup Fellowship per session of 6 months. After the duration, successful fellows are supported via access to seed capital, among other benefits.

The IBS business incubator is an organ of IBS created to nurture suitably qualified startups to maturity via the IBS Startup Fellowships. Fellows are absolved into the IBS incubator strictly from the pool of the IBS Business Seminar Series participants.

IBS Holds Successful Multi-Media Conference in Ile-Ife

The IFE Business School has just concluded successfully its maiden edition of the IFE Multimedia Conference, 2019.

The IMC, a week-long Multimedia Conference (Seminars and Training-Workshops)  targeted  young intending or practicing multimedia professionals within the Ife, Ilesha, Oshogbo, Ibadan and Akure axis, was organised for free for all participants based on sponsorship by good willed companies and individuals.

The Conference participant were trained in skills-sets including Video Production, Photography, Graphics Design, Web design and so on.

     

Some of the brands that supported the conference include A &G Prints, SYL Multimedia, QuickHelp Nigeria, Xrystal Television, KolaMathew Photography, Muyiwa Adigun Entertainment , Peak Media House, Emperor Studios,  TJ Films and Crest Imagery .

With Over 60 hours of training, over 70 participants, about 12 facilitators and resource persons, and a visit by the representative the Central Bank of Nigeria, Oshogbo, the programme is nothing short of a real impact.

All the Participants, who are now automatically absolved into the IBS Pre-Incubation pool now have a rich opportunity of  not only developing the skills they have acquired via the IBS Internships in partnership with surrounding Media Organisations, they may via the Certificate of Participation be eligible for a loan facility of between 5-10 Million naira to start  their respective multimedia outfits.

IFE MULTIMEDIA CONFERENCE 2019 (IMC)

The conference seminars and lectures holds in the mornings with exciting topics between 10AM and 12 noon while the training-workshop holds in the afternoon/evening between 4pm-6pm. The programme is so structured to allow workers and students participate.
